Staff year book 2023

2024 Yearbook

In our busy work lives, we spend a lot of time looking towards the coming weeks and months ahead, without much time to reflect on what we have worked on. As we start preparing for the new year, it's great to look back and reflect on the amazing work and progress achieved in the past year, for both yourself and the residents of Lancashire. Our 2024 Yearbook gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Whether this is recognising your own personal development and success, celebrating the work of your colleagues, or even just saying thank you to someone, our Yearbook is for you to comment on what has made you feel proud this year.

The Yearbook is accessible to everyone who works at Lancashire County Council. To submit a comment of recognition, please enter your details below.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Debra Jones, Wellbeing Officer, for once again her dedication throughout the year promoting wellbeing. Her commitment and hard work to achieve menopause accreditation for LCC now recognised as a menopause friendly place of work also achieving Best Trained Workforce. All this wouldn't be possible without Debra's passion and care shown every day. She truly is one special lady.

Thank you to my amazing team for their hard work this year. It has another very busy year for IG and we continue to deliver high quality services despite increased demand and challenging deadlines. Also a huge thank you to all of the IG Champions and service contacts who provide us with information to enable us to respond to requests. Your support is very much appreciated.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to give my heartfelt thanks to the whole team in People Services for all of the support they have given me over the past year and a half, through undoubtedly what has been the most difficult time in my life. I am filled with gratitude for having such a caring and supportive manager and team - thank you all. What a wonderful thing it is to work with you all! I feel very blessed! I wish you all a very happy Christmas and New Year and I look forward to seeing what 2025 brings to us!

Praise from me for the very high standards of delivery conducted by the Education Digital Services D&I team. Collectively they've handled a web filtering migration project for over 100K users, upgraded SQL instances in over 200 schools through automation & delivered multiple internal projects that will improve the services Schools recieve from us. Many late nights have been worked to ensure school customers keep a very high quality of service. Thanks all!

As another year heads slowly for the fire exit, I cannot help but look back with appreciation at the effort, determination and focus of my colleagues on the Libraries Resources Team. Helen, Tracy and Yvonne put a huge amount into helping the people of Lancashire get books, music scores and play sets. Unsung heroes, each of them! They deserve some kind of award. Preferably one presented by Keanu Reeves!

Thank you to the Social Work Education Team in People Services, Talent and Performance. We may be a small team, but the impact of your brilliant work is felt across LCC. You continue to provide exceptional support to students, practice educators, apprentices, and NQSWs and make a positive difference to the social work profession each day. Your positivity and commitment shine through in everything you do, and I am grateful to work alongside such passionate, collaborative, and supportive colleagues. Keep your sparkle and bring on 2025!
