Staff year book 2023

2024 Yearbook

In our busy work lives, we spend a lot of time looking towards the coming weeks and months ahead, without much time to reflect on what we have worked on. As we start preparing for the new year, it's great to look back and reflect on the amazing work and progress achieved in the past year, for both yourself and the residents of Lancashire. Our 2024 Yearbook gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Whether this is recognising your own personal development and success, celebrating the work of your colleagues, or even just saying thank you to someone, our Yearbook is for you to comment on what has made you feel proud this year.

The Yearbook is accessible to everyone who works at Lancashire County Council. To submit a comment of recognition, please enter your details below.

Your stories

Thank you to the Burnley CFWS team for being so welcoming when I joined the service in July this year, as part of the Oral Health Team, and a huge thank you to all of the early years practitioners within Lancashire who have trained with us so far for the start of the Supervised Brushing programme roll out. They are supporting our children in improving their oral health and making every contact count with spreading those key messages to families, and their enthusiasm has been incredible to see. My new colleagues have been fantastically supportive and it has been a pleasure to work with them this year within this programme.

Thank you so much to SIAS North for a fantastic placement and introduction into the world of Social Work! I learnt so much from all members of the team and look back at my time with very fond memories of you all. Your commitment to supporting the older individuals in North Lancashire demonstrates such a dedicated and caring approach.

I want to say a big thank you to all the teams I work alongside, they have all done some amazing work this last year. We are going into a period of change in 2025 and I will be saying a very fond farewell to a couple of teams; I want them to know that I have loved working with them - so thank you to all in the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership and The Communities Team I wish you well as you move to a new part of PH. I also want to say how much I look forward to carrying on working with the Community Safety focussed teams - the work they all do linked to Counter Terrorism; domestic abuse, and ensuring we work together in partnership to tackle key community safety issues is amazing - thank you all.

Thank you to all our colleagues and partners for supporting the Lancashire Safeguarding Business Unit, which was established this year following re-structure. We've done so many amazing things to highlight and support activity around the most vulnerable children, families and adults in Lancashire - you are all amazing, have a restful and peaceful break.

Thank you to my team, Heritage Learning Lancashire. It was been an exceptionally busy year and the team have delivered a first class service despite huge demand and the odd challenge or two. Your hard work and efforts are always appreciated.

I want to thank all the teams I have within my portfolio for all the amazing work they have done this year. The Partnerships Team have navigated some fabulous work to support community safety and Local Councils; The DA Team have supported the mobilisation of our amazing DA services; The Communities Team have done outstanding work supporting community projects, social isolation, loneliness, warm spaces and listening to Lancashire linked to oral health; the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership have continued to promote and recruit to public sector volunteering and have done some innovative work around corporate social responsibility and latterly we have welcomed the Corporate Counter Terrorism Team, who do really important work linked to Prevent and Protect. There are changes ahead and I want all the teams to know how privileged I feel to have worked alongside them this last year - well done all.
