8. Funding arrangements

As this new school will be an academy, the successful academy sponsor will need to enter into a funding agreement with the Secretary of State for Education, for the operation of the school to be effective from the date of the school’s opening.

The new school will be funded on the number of commissioned places agreed between the council and the academy sponsor in accordance with the School and Early Years Finance (England) Regulations. The amount per place will be £10,000 supplemented by top up funding appropriate to each pupil's needs.
