Long service award
Choosing a gift
Employee should:
Choose a gift.
- The maximum value of award is set out in the Allowances and Expenses Table. This amount will be increased in value every two years in line with inflation.
- The gift must be a tangible gift and substantial and permanent in nature. For example cash, a cheque, food, drink, etc., are not allowed.
- If the employee chooses an item of a higher value than that of the long service award then the employee must pay the difference in value.
Note: Employees are advised not to purchase the gift themselves but to go through the following steps.
To comply with the scheme retailers must be able to accept a purchase order from LCC and send us an invoice for payment.
