Subscriptions

A subscription with Lancashire School Library Service provides a cost effective solution to resourcing your school curriculum, library and reading collections, with access to over 200,000 resources.

We offer a choice of annual subscriptions:

  • Comprehensive or Basic for primary and special schools.

  • Small school offer for schools with less than 100 pupils.

  • Early Years settings

  • Book Awards – subscriptions may be purchased separately.

Subscriptions for primary and special schools

  • Core collection for your library/classroom, 2 books for every pupil selected at either Book Bus visit or box exchange.

  • Curriculum boxes to support teaching topics. The allocation is based on pupil numbers.

  • Half day visit to your school for library advice or pupil workshop.

*For a single form entry school with 210 pupils this costs 5p per pupil per school day.

  • Core collection of 200 books for your library/classroom selected at either Book Bus visit or box exchange.

  • Curriculum boxes to support teaching topics, an allocation of 6 boxes per year (approximately 180 titles)

*For a single form entry school with 210 pupils this costs 3p per pupil per school day.

  • Curriculum boxes supporting teaching topics, an allocation of 6 boxes per year (approximately 180 titles)

Please note smaller schools can subscribe to any of the 3 subscription levels.

Subscriptions for early years settings

Core collection of 200 books for your library/classroom selected at either Book Bus visit or box exchange.

Curriculum boxes to support teaching topics, an allocation of 6 boxes (approximately 180 titles) delivered and collected by courier.

Half day interactive story and rhyme session.

  • Core collection of 100 books for your library/classroom selected at either Book Bus visit or Box exchange.

  • Curriculum boxes to support teaching topics, an allocation of 3 boxes (approximately 90 titles) delivered and collected by courier.

  • Half day interactive story and rhyme session.

  • 3 boxes of seasonal books per year. Each box delivered once a term to a Lancashire Library of your choice for collection and return by the setting.
