The team organise a number of community events on specific themes.

The road safety team work in partnership with other agencies and provide support by being present at a number of organised community events. We work together as part of the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership address to community concerns that are of a road safety nature.

Car seat safety events 2025

Following the success of the community car seat safety events held in 2024, in 2025 LCC has commissioned a further 13 events to be held across the county.

These free, community events took place at a variety of supermarkets in specifically targeted areas and aimed to educate parents/carers, grandparents and anyone who drives with children in their vehicle on how to correctly fit a child car seat to their vehicle.

Good Egg safety will demonstrate how to correctly install the child car seat or inform the driver if a car seat was unsuitable for some reason. In addition, drivers may be offered a range of car seat and general road safety literature to take away with them.

Many of the mistakes people make surrounding child car seats are simple and easy to avoid, including seats belts needing tightening, harnesses not being in the right position and incorrect head restraints – simple.. yet potentially life saving. Pop along for free advice and an independent check.
