Overview
This course is for anyone who has previously had foundation training and is required to continue to operate the equipment and will need to demonstrate competency via a theoretical and practical assessment
Aim
Provide any updated information, instruction and guidance on the safe use of the equipment
Objectives
Demonstrate their competence in Knowledge and practical ability as a plant operator
Be able to locate and identify the major components and attachments of the machine
Carryout all pre-operational checks
Check all emergency lowering functionality
Identify defects and use appropriate reporting procedures

Competency in the safe use of equipment
Compliance with H&S legislation
Demonstrated good practice in the workplace
A good understanding of LOLER inspection and certification requirements
