This course is designed for employees who, during their daily duties are required as a Highways service business need, to have a DCPC qualification.
Course aim
The aims of this course are:
To provide employees working within Lancashire Highways Services with the required knowledge and practical skills essential for gaining a Driver CPC qualification.

The learners will have an understanding of the following:
The regulators for road haulage, TC’s, DVSA, Police
Statutory document No 6, the Highway Code, updates
Bridge strikes
Speed and its consequences
Drivers hours and WTD
Pre-use vehicle checks
Driver wellbeing
Learning methods
A range of teaching and learning methods including presentation and demonstration (where required)
