Setting up or expanding a school run nursery or out of school provision

We offer support to schools who are looking to set up childcare on a school site. Package 1

Setting up new childcare provision support this includes provision run by the school including maintained nursery class, Governor Led (s27) and Out of School provision Cost £330

  • Market Research Tool Kit

  • Demographics Data including population and deprivation levels

  • Understanding the local childcare market

  • Up to 1 Microsoft teams consultations to support marketing and demographics

  • The process and next steps to set up the appropriate childcare

  • Modelling your childcare to fit in with the school day, creating the childcare offer including staffing levels and ratios

  • Up to 1 site visit to look at suitable space to meet the requirements of the EYFS

  • Joint meeting with school finance to understand the financial impact of opening childcare provision, this includes finding the breakeven point and using market research data to predict occupancy levels. Consider the impact this will have on the overall school budget

  • Support with the consultation (LA and community consultation)

  • Marketing and promotion of your business tool kit.

Package 2

Schools who are looking for a third-party provider to lease space to provide childcare Cost £185

  • Market Research Tool Kit

  • Demographics Data including population and deprivation levels

  • Understanding the local childcare market

  • Tender pack

  • 1 site visit to look at suitable space to meet the requirements of the EYFS

  • Support to the school with the Tender process, this can involve attending the information event, support with shortlisting and interview process

  • Signpost to other relevant teams in the Local Authority

Package 3

School who already offer some childcare (e.g. a maintained nursery class or S27) and are looking to add further provision for example 2 year olds or 30 hours Cost £185

  • Market Research Tool Kit

  • Demographics Data including population and deprivation levels

  • Understanding the local childcare market

  • Modelling your childcare to fit in with the school day, creating the childcare offer including staffing levels and ratios

  • Up to 1 site visit to look at suitable space to meet the requirements of the EYFS

Package 4

Bespoke package of support tailored made to meet the needs of a school Cost to be determined

  • This package is for schools who may need support with existing modelling, adapting what they currently offer, support with marketing/promotion of the provision

  • This package can include a site visit if required and Microsoft Teams consultation.
