Funded childcare resources

We regularly run campaigns to promote the benefits of taking a funded place with a childminder, nursery or pre school and encourage eligible families to take up a funded place.

Promoting the 15 hours early learning for 2-years-old for non-working families and those in receipt of certain benefits is a priority for us to help improve school readiness and achieve good levels of development at EYFS.

We also promote 30 hours of funded childcare from 9 months to 4-years-old for working families, in addition to other help paying for childcare including tax free childcare and Universal Credit childcare.

Objective

To encourage eligible families to find out what childcare support they are entitled to on the Best Start in Life website.
To encourage take-up of early years funded places at nurseries and childminders in Lancashire.
