Wifi printing

How to print from your own device

You can print documents to library printers using our Wi‑Fi printing service. You can do this in the library, at home or anywhere else when you are online.

You can use any web‑enabled device, such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop, Chromebook, home PC or Mac. Before you start, check that you know where the files you want to print are saved on your device.

1
Sign in to the service

Use your library card number and PIN to log in to your Netloan account.

You must be online to use this service. You can use your own mobile data or any available Wi‑Fi.

Select print a document, then on the next page choose get started. This takes you to the print upload page.

2
Select your document

Choose add a file. You can upload:

  • Word documents (doc and docx)

  • PDF files

  • image files (BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, TIF and TIFF)

Each file must be no larger than 150MB. You can upload up to five files at a time.

You cannot print password‑protected documents.

3
Submit your documents

When you have selected your documents, you will return to the print upload page. Here you can:

  • check the files you selected

  • add more files

  • remove any files you no longer want to print

When you are ready, select submit. Your files will upload and you will see a confirmation message with a reference ID.

4
Pay and collect your printing

You must collect your printing within 24 hours. You can only collect printing during library opening times. All printing must be collected at least 15 minutes before closing.

Printing is charged at the standard rate. Check Lancashire library opening times.

If you are printing in the library from your own device, your prints may take a few minutes to arrive. You can pay and collect them from a self‑service kiosk or from a member of staff. At this point, you can choose:

  • the number of copies

  • paper size

  • colour or black and white

If you need to print more documents, go back to the homepage and repeat the steps. Log out when you finish.

We use recycled paper as the default option for all printing.

Converting webpages and emails to PDF files

If you want to print a webpage, an email or a password‑protected file, you need to create a PDF version first.

Not all phones offer this feature. You can use a public computer in one of our libraries.
