We pay a generous financial package to support you in your role as a foster carer.

From 1 April 2026, we have increased the financial allowances we pay to support our foster carers.

We pay a weekly allowance to help with the cost of caring for a child. Newly approved foster carers can now expect to receive between £424.95 and £558.55 per week, for each child they care for.

We offer competitive fostering payments based on the age and needs of the child, alongside a range of additional rewards and allowances. These include payments for birthdays, religious festivals, holidays, long service, referrals, welcome incentives for new carers, sibling group placements, and payment protection for eligible carers transferring from an independent fostering agency.
