Free video calls in British Sign Language (BSL)

If you use British Sign Language (BSL), you can get information, advice and support through Convo.

Convo connects you to a qualified BSL interpreter. The interpreter will help you talk to our team and get the support you need.

The service is free, confidential and easy to use.

Using the Convo app

You can use Convo on your phone, tablet or computer.

How to use Convo

  1. Download the Convo app.

  2. Open the app and search for Lancashire County Council.

  3. Choose Lancashire County Council.

  4. Start your call.

  5. A qualified BSL interpreter will join the call and connect you with the right team.

If we need to contact you back, you can share your Convo number with us through the app.

Using Convo in our buildings

You can also access a BSL interpreter when visiting some of our buildings.

Look for a green Convo Access QR code in reception.

Simply scan the QR code using your phone camera. You will be connected to a qualified BSL interpreter straight away.

You do not need to download the app or create an account.
