12. Transferring to another primary school
Once your child has been admitted to a school or academy, you can later request a transfer to another. We call this in-year admissions.
You can express a preference at any time to attend another primary school or academy. You should, however, first speak to the current headteacher to discuss the desirability of a transfer.
To request a transfer, you must complete an in-year admission application.

Applications for school places for September 2026 open on 1 September 2025.
The deadline to apply for a primary school place for September 2026 is 15 January 2026.
