Children and family wellbeing service support for expectant and new families
The Children and Family Wellbeing Service supports all children, young people and families, from expecting a baby through to 19 years old (or up to 25 if there is a special educational need or disability).
We offer services, information, groups and support in the local community or in the family home. Our family support workers deliver one to one support, usually by referral, that is specific to meet your family's needs.
We can also tell you about other partner agencies according to your needs, if this is the best fit for your child or family.
Group activities and courses
Our groups are open to all families across Lancashire and provide support around topics such as:
ante natal and post natal support
infant massage
baby groups
learning and development groups through play
speech and language development
physical activities for children
parenting courses
If you decide to go to any of our groups you can be sure of warm welcome. You'll have the chance to meet other parents and your children will benefit from socialising with other children.
One to one support
We can offer family support through referral, which assesses all the needs of the child and family.
Through home visits, we provide one to one support on various issues including:
behaviour management
sleep routines
positive parenting
coping strategies
speech and language support
housing issues
