Description and objectives

Lancashire County Council is in the process of reviewing Adults Carers Assessment and Support services in Lancashire. We wish to engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback on the draft Specification for the new Service which we intend to procure.

Responses will help test clarity, deliverability, proportionality and market capacity before any formal procurement exercise.

The specification and appendices are working documents and will be refined following market feedback.

For the avoidance of doubt the proposals set out within the market engagement document are the potential options and are subject to change before the Invitation to Tender is published in the event that the service is procured via a competitive process.

Introduction

Lancashire County Council is in the process of reviewing Carers services in Lancashire. Prior to reprocuring the current service.

We wish to engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback on the draft Specification for the new Service which we intend to procure.

Responses will help test clarity, deliverability, proportionality and market capacity before any formal procurement exercise.

Lancashire Carers Assessment and Support Service

The service executes Lancashire County Councils Statutory obligations to support adult carers (18+) by playing a significant role in identifying carers, carrying out carers assessments and giving support to help them to understand how they manage their caring responsibilities whilst also maintaining their own wellbeing. The service offers a range of support including information, advice, emotional support, group networks and access to Carers Assessments.

Your feedback is important in helping us shape a service that is clear, deliverable and responsive to the needs of carers across Lancashire. We welcome open and constructive feedback, including where you believe the proposed approach may not work in practice. Responses will be used to refine the specification, test the proposed budget and timescales, and identify any barriers or opportunities before the formal procurement begins. Participating in this engagement will not affect your ability to take part in any future procurement exercise.

The Authority may publish the results of the Strongly Agree - Strongly Disagree questions, but will not publish the narrative submitted by respondents.
