Where to start with social value
The opportunities to deliver social value are endless, from volunteering to charitable donations to using zero emission vehicles, there are countless potential social value initiatives you can do. But how do you start, and which ones are right for your organisation?
Social value can be a vague term, but if you think about it in terms of the people you are working with and impacting, it becomes much more tangible. Start by thinking about your organisation as part of the wider economic, social, and environmental systems in which it operates. Then, understand your stakeholders and how you can deliver value for them is key to effective social value. Finding this ‘social value sweet spot’ will help you move from conducting one-off activities to creating positive outcomes at scale.
