Women's Tour of Britain in Lancashire
The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women 2026 comes through Lancashire on 20 August, with the route passing from Clitheroe to Blackpool.
If you are nearby, I hope you have the opportunity to see the cyclists in action and enjoy the atmosphere.
Hosting this event reflects the excellent work we're doing with our partner organisations to bring major sporting events to Lancashire.
It is also an exciting step as we prepare to host a Tour de France stage next year.
For more information, visit the official Women’s Tour of Britain website.

John Davies will take on the role of interim Director of Highways.
Many of you will know John already. He is a respected and experienced senior leader, with a strong knowledge of our services.
I know we will all support Chris and John in their new roles.
