Request support for alcohol and drug rehabilitation

If you, a family member or friend need help to access alcohol or drug rehabilitation services, you can request a referral.

We will work with you to ensure the right support is in place. This could be support provided by us, one of our partner organisations or by a community group.

Before you start

If you live in Lancashire and want some help to get more control of your substance use or to become drug and/or alcohol free, there are specialist treatment services available across the county.

  • You are not on your own – support and advice is available.
  • Free, confidential advice and treatment options.
  • Whether you want to cut down, stop completely, or get advice for someone else, help is available.
  • Support is also available for family members, carers and anyone affected by someone else's substance use.

Completing the referral

The information you give us will help us consider the options available to you and work with you to ensure the right support is in place.

We will need to know:

  • Personal details, such as your name, date of birth and address
  • Support you receive from other people
  • Medical conditions or medication
  • GP details

You must have an email address and register for an adult social care account to complete a referral.

What happens next?

A social worker will contact you for a phone discussion, followed by an initial appointment.

At your initial appointment, your social worker will talk to you about a range of treatment and post detox options. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Residential rehabilitation
  • Non residential treatment
  • Supported housing
  • Step-down services, recovery support groups and mutual aid support

We may work together with other services to plan your support.

Your social worker can also offer support and advice around services such as debt management, housing issues or victim support.
