All priority routes in South & Central Lancashire to be gritted this afternoon

We have weather predictions of ice and temperatures reaching below freezing  until around  11am. We will apply salt to selected priority routes.

Our priority routes only cover one third of the total highway network. Ice patches can develop even on treated surfaces, often caused by water run-off from fields or other sources. Ice is most likely on untreated surfaces – please adjust your driving to the conditions.
