Shared Lives

Expanding your family could also mean sharing your life with an adult by becoming a Shared Lives carer. We carefully match the people we support with their carer, helping them to become integrated into the family household and supporting carers to grow their confidence and learn new skills. If you could provide a safe and caring environment for someone and support them on a long or short-term basis, please get in touch.

Lancashire Adult Learning

If you'd like to upskill to prepare for a new role or advance in your existing role, why not find out about the wide range of flexible online courses and 1:1 support for adults across Lancashire at Lancashire Adult Learning? Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a great way to learn while working and earning a wage. You'll gain practical skills on the job and attend college or a training provider one day a week.

Apprenticeships are available in a range of industries and subjects, last for at least 12 months and are open to anyone aged 16 and above.

To explore the opportunities available near you, visit the SORTED website for information on apprenticeships in Lancashire.

You can also find an apprenticeship at GOV.UK.

Volunteering opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your local community and meet new people. You could volunteer some of your time at one of our reuse hubs, support children and families in a local library or get green-fingered at one of our heritage sites. Find out more about volunteering opportunities on the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership website.

Businesses

If you're thinking of starting your own business or enterprise, visit Boost's Support Directory to find out about our extensive network of business support available in Lancashire.

Youth Zone

It enables them to access appropriate information and support on a wide range of things as early as possible, to help them to achieve a good quality of life and facilitate positive ongoing life changes.
