You will be part of a team that is passionate about our great county and its people. We are the biggest council in the North of England, with the fourth largest population in the country, employing more than 13,000 employees and serving our 1.2m residents over a large area that is twice the size of Greater London.

We are hugely diverse, both in geography and population, and serve a broad mix of communities in Lancashire, from those where opportunities and environment are judged to give some of the best quality of life in the country, to some of the most challenged areas in terms of deprivation. We have recently received the biggest government allocation from levelling up in recognition of this.

We are passionate about making Lancashire the best place to live, work, visit and prosper and are an enthusiastic and committed partner of Lancashire 2050, working with other Lancashire councils and our wider communities to create a long-term strategic plan for the future of Lancashire.
