RoadPeace world day of remembrance service 2024
RoadPeace world day of remembrance service 2024
Lancashire County Council will host its annual RoadPeace memorial service on Sunday 17th November 12-1:30pm at County Hall. The service is one of thousands being held globally to support families and friends of people killed on the roads, and honour the work of the emergency services. It was started in 1993 by UK-based charity RoadPeace which is dedicated to supporting people bereaved and injured in road traffic collisions.
This is a multi faith service open to all who have been bereaved or injured through road traffic collisions. The short service will be followed by a chance for family members and attendees to lay flowers/wreaths at the RoadPeace memorial stone. It will be attended by Lancashire County Council's chairman, representatives from the police, fire and ambulance services, and multi-faith representatives.
Refreshments will be served both before and after the service. If you would like to attend and receive further details about the service please email roadsafetyeducation@lancashire.gov.uk
