RoadPeace world day of remembrance service 2024
RoadPeace world day of remembrance service 2024
Lancashire County Council hosted its annual RoadPeace memorial service on Sunday 17th November 12-1:30pm at County Hall. The service was one of thousands being held globally to support families and friends of people killed on the roads, and honour the work of the emergency services. It was started in 1993 by UK-based charity RoadPeace which is dedicated to supporting people bereaved and injured in road traffic collisions.
This was a multi faith service open to all who have been bereaved or injured through road traffic collisions. The short service was followed by a chance for family members and attendees to lay flowers/wreaths at the RoadPeace memorial stone. It was attended by Lancashire County Council representatives, representatives from the police, fire and ambulance services, and multi-faith representatives.
Refreshments were served both before and after the service. The service was well attended.
