Seat belts

According to Think! the government's road safety education website wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of death for drivers by 50%. Yet in 2022, 4 unbelted young people were killed or seriously injured every week.

Earlier this year they produced a social media campaign called "CLICK" which aims to shift attitudes and behviours around seat belt wearing using aan audible an visual reminder.

The campaign is aimed at young male drivers 17-24 as young men are more likely to be inconsistent wearers of seat belts, research highlights that this is a particular issue on short and familiar journeys at night.
