Training
Lancashire Refugee Integration Team is comprised of a diverse staff team with a range of experience in asylum and refugee work. We are therefore able to devise and deliver bespoke training packages to support community groups, voluntary/charity organizations, schools and faith groups. We can also provide training for statutory services who are keen to develop their knowledge of the refugee landscape in Lancashire.
Current training is available online and in-person and includes:
- An introduction to the refugee and asylum landscape in Lancashire (2 hours)
- Understanding the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Lancashire (3 hours)
- Community Integration: Best-practice in facilitating integration for asylum seekers and refugees (2 hours)
- A journey through the Resettlement Process (2 hours)
- Interpretation versus translation: Best-practice in interpreting with refugees and asylum seekers (2 hours)
- Supporting refugee and asylum seeking children in education (2 hours)
