By registering with this service, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before agreeing.

Registration is open to:

  • People or organisations who work (voluntary or paid) to promote health in areas served by Lancashire County Council
  • Organisations operating in areas served by Lancashire County Council, from any sector – public, private, charity, community, voluntary and faith organisations are all welcome to use the service to promote health

If you are unsure whether you meet the registration criteria, please contact the service.

Registration may be refused or cancelled if the above criteria are not met.

The service reserves the right to confirm the information you give to us by contacting your employer or voluntary organisation, or by searching publically available information.

You must inform the service of any changes to your contact details.

Data protection

The service may analyse data for the purposes of monitoring and improving the service. 

Personal details will be used to enable use of the loans service and to communicate information on campaigns and the service, unless you opt out of this, which you can do at any time by contacting the service.

Personal details will not be passed to third parties without your consent, unless legally required by an appropriate authority.

The service may hold your details and related data whilst you are registered with the service and until the end of the next financial year after you de-register to enable the service to monitor its performance.

All employees and subsidiaries who may have access to your personal data are obliged to respect its confidentiality.

Data may be collected from the service website in order to monitor use and improve the service. This will be analysed based on groups of customers, not on an individual user basis.

If your registration is not accepted, your details will be kept until the end of the next financial year to enable reporting and gain information on demand for future service expansions.

Loans service

Hire periods and conditions of use for loaned resources are subject to change and will be available on the website.

You must take reasonable care of items loaned to you by the service. You, not the organisation you work for, are personally responsible for care of the items loaned to you.

The service reserves the right to charge you or your organisation for items lost, broken or returned late.

It is the user's responsibility to ensure the suitability of items for their audience and purpose, the service does not accept any liability for unsuitability of items.

The service reserves the right to refuse loans at their discretion.

Website

Whilst the service makes every effort to ensure that the information on the website is accurate and up-to-date, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or inconvenience caused by reliance on inaccurate material contained in this site.

Links to outside organisations

Whilst the service makes every effort to ensure the links to outside organisations are of good quality, the service does not accept any responsibility for inaccurate or misleading information on external sites.

Links to an organisation's website does not imply endorsement of their content.

We cannot accept responsibility for events that we publicise on our site that are not organised by the service. You should contact the organisers directly if necessary.

Loan arrangements for students on placement

The Public Health Campaigns Service will loan resources to students only for the duration of their placement on the understanding that they agree to comply with the following arrangements:

  • Up to four items may be borrowed for a maximum of two weeks
  • Home address, telephone number and course details must be provided
  • An additional registration information form must be completed and returned by the placement supervisor on the understanding that they accept responsibility for the loaned resources.
