Be a councillor

As we approach the county council elections in May 2025, we aim to raise awareness of the important role of a councillor. We want to encourage Lancashire residents to consider this rewarding role. Our Elections website contains all the information about the county council's election and results.

Be A Councillor Website

There is a dedicated website, containing all the information potential candidates will need. It contains a video highlighting the role of a councillor, an FAQ section and details of key dates they will need to know about.

Information events

We will be holding information evenings on Tuesday 19 November and Wednesday 5 February so that people can find out more about what is involved, and we will be promoting the events across social media and our website.

Bookings for the 19 November event can be made on our event page here.
