Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at existing MS Excel users who want to use the Lookup function to search for information in a workbook. This is a Level 2 course. If you have not used MS Excel for more than 4 years, please do a recap with the Level 1 courses.

Aim(s)

This course provides the skills and knowledge to use Lookup tables to automate workbooks more efficiently.  It also covers use of the Index and Match function for more advanced formulas.

Objectives

  • Creating and managing Named Ranges
  • Work with both Vertical and Horizontal Lookups
  • Use and manipulate the functions of Index and Match
  • Absolute references

Virtual Training – this is ideal if you're comfortable working with computers, able to navigate between a variety of files and working with multiple windows. The course tends to be faster paced and with a little less interaction than a face-to-face option. For this type of training, it is a must that you have use of two monitors and use of a mouse (not the trackpad on a laptop).
