Who is this course for?

This course is for participants who want to use Microsoft Word to create basic documents; no previous experience is necessary. This is a Level 1 course.

Aim(s)

This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to create a basic document, to edit and format a document, print and save it using the basic features of Microsoft Word.

Objectives

• Create a new document, save and edit existing documents
• Manipulate text alignment, format text for emphasis & Styles
• Cut, copy, and paste, text and paragraphs
• Insert Headers & footers and Page Numbers
• Use Spell check & Search
• Page Setup and Print a document
• Find & Replace
• Ruler, Navigation Pane & Zoom
• Applying Styles

Participants should be comfortable using a computer, to be able to navigate around the screen, work with folders and files, use the taskbar and manage the mouse.  All Microsoft courses are recommended that you use a mouse and not the trackball facility that is available on the laptop.

For Virtual Training you will need to be familiar with using Microsoft Teams Meetings, work with the Windows Taskbar, to be able to switch applications and to access files and folders in File Explorer.
