Power wash training - PT001
Course Overview
This course is designed for Lancashire County Council employees, who, during their daily duties are required to operate power washers at various LCC depots, the training is depot specific as different power wash machines are in use across the different depots.
Course Aim
This course has been developed to ensure that Lancashire County Council employees who are required to use power washers are aware of the legal implications, Lancashire County Council policies and procedures and hazards associated with using this type of equipment.
Learning Objectives
- Provide information on the legal responsibilities Lancashire County Council polices & procedures & risk assessments
- Describe the type of power wash to be used and associated cleaning products/chemicals
- Operatives will be shown how to carry out checks on equipment and how to use the equipment safely
- Selection and use of correct PPE
- To be aware of equipment defect s & reporting procedures.
Learning Outcomes
- Create a safe working environment & compliance with legislation and Lancashire County Council polices /procedure
- Competency in being able to demonstrate the correct pre-start checks and how to operate the equipment safely
- Reducing risk of injury to operator and third parties and equipment damage prevention
- Learning Methods
A range of teaching and learning methods including presentation and demonstration will be used with a focus on individual and group participation.
