Overview
This course is for anyone who is required in their daily duties to operate hydraulic/mechanical lifting crane equipment attached to a vehicle of substantial weights
Aim
Provide information, instruction and guidance on the safe use of the equipment
Objectives
- Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities as a plant operator
- Have a working knowledge of the manufacturers handbook
- Be able to locate and identify the major components and attachments of the machine
- Carryout all pre-operational checks
- Check all emergency check valves and safety functionality
- Identify defects and use appropriate reporting procedures

- Promote good practice in the workplace
- Understand the importance of upholding safe working practices
- Understanding of LOLER inspection and certification
Entry Requirements
- Anyone who requires (must also undergo Slinger/Signaller training)
- Authorised business case (Any applications without authorisation will be removed)

Minimum 3 days (additional days required dependant on attachments required)
