Course Overview
This course is designed for Lancashire County Council employees, who, during their daily duties are involved with any activity that requires the use of an approved face mask
Course Aim
This course has been developed to ensure that Lancashire County Council employees who are involved with any activity that requires the use of an approved face mask, are fit tested to ensure that the face piece is suitable for the individual wearer.
Course Pre-requisites
Operatives must have completed STS 74 prior to attending.
If using GVS style mask operatives must also have completed HS93C (training video, link below)

Operatives must bring all usual PPE worn whilst wearing face mask.

The learning objectives are to create:
- Safer working environment for employees
- A reduction of costs and down times associated with poor practice.
- Highly trained workforce
- Compliance with legal requirements.

The learners will have an understanding of the following:
Fit testing process and procedures
Selection and use of equipment
Learning /Testing Methods
- Fit test will use either Portacount (quantitive) test mask provided
- 3M Hood (qualatitive) method. Operative must bring own mask
Duration 1hr
Refresher 3 years subject to LCC and individual circumstances
