CITB Site supervisors safety training scheme (SSSTS)- HS148
Overview
This course covers the supervision of Health and Safety on construction sites and provides some detail and guidance through reference documentation used to comply with statutory obligation within organisations
Aim
Provide awareness to all supervisors with the responsibility of supervising these functions under Health and Safety law and the potential impacts of any breaches
Objectives
- Discuss the supervision of health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of the supervisors role
- Develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety and welfare
- Recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical, productive and environmentally friendly.

- Improved confidence in supervising workplace activities

Entry Requirements
Delegates should either be in or about to engage in a supervisory role that is able to underpin Health and Safety standards on site
Should be competent in English at site supervision level

Every 5 years
Certification
On successful completion of the course end exam, certification is awarded by Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) as part of the Site Safety Plus suite of qualifications
