Understanding your child’s behaviour through developmental stages - FC0113
This course is for Foster carers of Children Looked After (CLA), Residential staff supporting Lancashire's CLA, Special Guardianship Order parents of Previously Looked After children. Parents of children on a child in need or child protection plan who are or will be going through education transition milestones.
Please note that the courses will be hosted as a virtual classroom session. Learners enrolling for these sessions will need their own laptop/PC or smart device to log on to the session.
Aims
Resilient children grow stronger through every transition in life. However, vulnerable children and young people can find transitions painful or even traumatic.
The aim of the session is to help participants:
- Be aware of transitions in the lives of children and young people and the range of responses to them.
- Demonstrate how to promote positive transitions.
- Explain how young people can be helped to gain the skills, self -confidence and knowledge they need to prepare them for transitions.
Objectives
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
