Introduction to Mindfulness – FC0134
This course is for Foster carers of Children Looked After (CLA), Residential staff supporting Lancashire's CLA, Special Guardianship Order parents of Previously Looked After children. Parents of children on a child in need or child protection plan.
Please note that the courses will be hosted as a virtual classroom session. Learners enrolling for these sessions will need their own laptop/PC or smart device to log on to the session.
Aim(s)
This Introduction to Mindfulness course is designed to support individuals to start their own mindfulness journey.
To explore Mindfulness techniques that may help individuals to settle their mind, including demonstrating a guided meditation that may aid the individual when dealing with difficult times.
Objectives
At the end of the course participants should be able to:
- Define mindfulness and recognise how this practice can support them as an individual.
- Be aware of 'mindfulness' techniques that can be used to settle the mind.
- Practice Mindful moments and techniques to support the individual.
