About SEND Partnership Workforce Development
The SEND Partnership has been working to increase training and knowledge around SEND for people working with children and families.
We've developed online resources and a workforce training programme informed by your feedback, co-production and our strategy.

Feedback from parent carers and practitioners told us there were gaps in training and knowledge.
Practitioners told us that they needed to know what support was available to families in an accessible format.
We did
Online resources
The SEN support guide for professionals aims to help all practitioners identify how conditions affect children and how to access support with or without a diagnosis.
Training programme
The SEND Partnership training programme includes:
- The SEND training guide, to find additional training and increase your knowledge of SEND
- Videos and presentations from network meetings and briefings introducing topics like autism, SEN support and early help
- To complement the education workforce development (SEND) resources such as the EBSA guidance and ordinarily Available Provision toolkit
Strategy
The SEND Partnership workforce development working group reviewed and updated the Lancashire SEND Partnership Workforce Strategy 2024 (PDF 255 KB).
