Great Teaching - Reflecting on classroom practice toolkit - Hardcopy Version (PBL650b)

£99.00

This brand-new practical resource has been written to support teachers develop pedagogical strategies which can be used across the curriculum including supporting examples and resources.

It can be used as a stand-alone document to support the development of Great Teaching in individual classes, phases or across the whole school.

It has also been written to complement the Reflecting on Classroom Practice Audit Tool https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/lpds/publications/details/?id=1103

Once areas for development have been identified, the Great Teaching Toolkit will give practical suggestions on how to enhance these including the rationale for the suggestion, how to use it, how to develop it further and, where appropriate, links and practical resources which can be used in the classroom.

"I think audit tools are always of tremendous value.  The way the toolkit is presented means it can be used in a variety of ways, for individuals, groups or whole staff CPD. The sections can be used as 'standalone' training modules linked to schools' improvement plans etc.  The structure of each section providing theory, suggested practice and worked examples covers the 'why' - something I believe is vitally important for practitioners to understand when developing their practice.  Having examples ready to use, or adapt, means it is more likely that initiatives/developments will be implemented and then embedded and developed further.  The document has been developed with potential barriers in mind, with information and practical ideas to address, remove and overcome them."

Lisa Davison, Headteacher - Stoneyholme Community Primary School

"I think the toolkit is fantastic! I love the sections as they could be delivered as INSET training and the VLOG links are great. The layout, e.g. Why use, how to use, when etc sections make it really clear.

The examples from other schools are really helpful for seeing it in practice too. "

Sara Richardson, Headteacher - Foulridge St Michael & All Angels CofE Primary School.

"You are getting a LOT for your money!"

Jane Curl, Headteacher - Carleton St Hilda’s CE Primary School.
