To explore the impact of cultural disadvantage in teaching and learning
To develop opportunities to minimise the impact of cultural disadvantage using curriculum planning and providing opportunities for students to build cultural capital
To provide delegates with practical examples of curriculum planning solutions in which cultural capital is developed so that they can implement changes in their contexts

This course would suit teachers with responsibility for curriculum planning, e.g. subject leaders and heads of departments. The course would also suit teachers who have a whole school responsibility for reducing the impact of any kinds of disadvantage for their students.
