Course Aims:
- To explore the potential barriers for disadvantaged students and for students with a special educational need when learning science
- To allow delegates to develop a selection of strategies under normally available provision that will begin to break down the barriers some students experience
- To develop expertise that can help teachers promote an inclusive environment in which support and scaffolding helps learners overcome their barriers to learning
This course is aimed at teachers who might have students from a disadvantaged background in their cohort or who might be teaching students with one or more special educational needs.
