•To consider how PIVATS 5 PSED can be used to assess and support children with SEND, and other children throughout the school with needs in these areas, functioning within the primary phase

•To have an introduction to the PIVATS 5 PSED toolkit and guidance on how this can be used to give practical support when planning provision and learning for children/young people to help them develop independence, social awareness, behaviour for learning and emotional awareness

Lack of readiness to learn is having a significant impact on pupils' progress and outcomes. This needs to be addressed before deep learning can take place.

An increasing number of pupils are struggling with independence, social awareness and relationships, behaviour for learning and emotions. This course will outline how PIVATS PSED can be used to assess their needs and how the toolkit can be used to support planning for provision and progress.

**OFFER: This course is on the same day as PIV403 An Introduction to PIVATS 5 so you can attend as a full day course should you wish. Delegates who attend both course, can do so for £150 (full price is £188). Please book on each course and we will discount the place.
