• To be able to teach the basic sport specific skills needed for different types of target and creative games.
• To develop confidence in implementing a sequence of learning in games activities.
• To explore how to adapt games activities and planning to meet children’s needs.
• To play a range of inclusive disability sports.
• To understand the progression of skills and key knowledge when teaching target and creative games.
• To help teachers develop an understanding of assessing children in different types of games.

This course is designed for teachers who want to develop their confidence, knowledge, skills and understanding of teaching the most inclusive type of games and understand basic games skills required in PE.

The first half of the day covers target games skills and disability sports and the second half of the day focuses on creative games.

It will develop confidence by explaining how to teach the sport specific skills in a range of games. The course will also explore planning, sequencing learning and adapting lesson to meet all children’s needs. It will also help teachers understand how to assess the skills and explore how to teach tactics and the principles of games.

There is an element of practical activities so all delegates should be dressed appropriate.
