- To develop class teachers’ confidence in delivering and assessing high quality dance activities in primary schools.
- To develop teachers ability to plan and deliver creative dance activities.
- To explore how children make progress in educational dance activities.
- To understand how to choreograph a dance following the Lancashire scheme of work units and Dance to School units.
- To make cross curricular links to enable greater depth teaching and learning.

Teachers will explore:
• how to plan, deliver and assess dance units of work;
• Lancashire core tasks and how they can be used to enhance learning and progress in dance activities;
• how to plan and teach creative dance and explore dance through cross curricular links; and
• how to teach a range of basic dance skills and choreographic techniques.

This course has an element of practical work so teachers should be dressed appropriately
