This course will:
- help experienced subject leaders to develop their skills to lead, manage and implement targeted strategies towards high quality Physical Education;
- explore what High Quality Physical Education means and what it looks like in lessons;
- evaluate the quality of the Physical Education curriculum provision (Intent);
- develop the skills to lead on improving the quality of teaching, learning (Implementation) and assessment (Impact) in Primary Physical Education;
- ensure Subject Leaders to know how to support staff development in relation to teaching and learning in Physical Education; and
- help subject leaders to understand how to use evidence and assessment to track progression.

The course is aimed at experienced PE subject leaders.

It will help subject leaders understand their roles and responsibilities as a primary PE subject leader. It will explore how to determine the quality of PE curriculum provision (Intent) and the quality of teaching, learning (implementation) and assessment (Impact).

The course will explore how to design and implement a targeted strategy to develop and improve PE within school.

It will also look at how to support staff in schools through the use of the PE premium.

Subject leaders will also explore how curriculum PE can support the health agenda, physical activity and school games competitions.

This course has a practical element, please dress appropriately.
