• To consider the essential skills and knowledge from the KS1 curriculum and how these form the foundations for learning in KS2.
• To discuss the perceived difference in approaches to learning in KS1 and KS2.
• To identify how to effectively support transition across these phases.

This course will support both Year 2 and Year 3 teachers in ensuring a seamless transition in children's mathematical learning from KS1 to KS2. It will consider features of mathematical readiness and how to get children ready for the more complex demands of a KS2 mathematics curriculum.
