• To consider the essential skills and knowledge from the EYFS curriculum and how these form the foundations for learning in KS1.
• To explore the difference in approaches to learning in EYFS and KS1
• To identify how to effectively support transition across these phases.

This course will support both EYFS and Year 1 teachers in ensuring a seamless transition in children's mathematical learning from EYFS and KS1. It will consider features of mathematical readiness and how to get children ready for the more structured demands of a Year 1 curriculum.
