To enable middle leaders to gain detailed knowledge and skills on a broad range of leadership and management issues, including:
- strategic leadership;
- building a shared vision for high achievement;
- leading learning and teaching;
- managing people and resources;
- applying for new posts; and
- the interview process.

It is aimed at those who have completed the Lancashire Middle Leaders Development course and wish to focus on further aspects of school leadership and/or are considering moving into deputy headship in the future. Delegates are encouraged to network with other course participants and to share good practice.

Delegates are required to attend six twilight sessions and the participant should be mentored by a senior member of the school as they undertake this course.
