Regular reading for pleasure is a strong predictor of future academic success, and so it is vitally important for schools to create a positive culture around reading to ensure that students view reading as a valuable, and enriching activity, and read regularly.

But how can schools motivate and engage readers? This course will explore a myriad of ways schools can create and sustain a rich reading culture and is suitable for those leading reading across the curriculum as well as English teachers and librarians looking to develop their own individual practice.
