This practical session will look: at how unplugged activities can be used to support outdoor learning in computing including looking at:
programming concepts such as sequence, selection, repetition and algorithms.
The use of role play in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Technologies and computing networks.
Unplugged activities are a pedagogical strategy used in computing that allows concepts to be studied without the use of computers. This means that they need little investment to implement. These practical methods are particularly useful when introducing new knowledge in the study of abstract computing concepts such as algorithms and selection. This course can be run as a school-based training session.
