Talk Three: A year-long CPD programme designed to improve outcomes for children in Y3

Talk Three is a year-long CPD programme designed to improve outcomes for children in Y3.

The cost of this programme is £600 for one member of staff attending each session and includes three full days and three half days of CPD.

This programme includes:
- English Publication Bridging Unit - A Bear called Paddington - a full unit of work to be delivered in autumn 1 (prior to the start of Talk Programme training).

- CPD Day 1 – an exemplified narrative unit of work based on folk tales (4-5 weeks) and a non-fiction unit including letters and instructions (2 weeks) to be delivered in autumn 2, with a comprehensive resource pack.

- CPD Day 2 – an exemplified English and History focused unit of work including narrative, non-fiction and poetry elements (up to 10 weeks), to be delivered in spring 2 and summer 1 with a comprehensive resource pack.

- CPD Day 3 – an exemplified unit of work based on a classic narrative poem The Spider and the Fly by Mary Howitt with a range of narrative, poetry and non-fiction outcomes (6-7 weeks), to be delivered in summer 2, with a comprehensive resource pack.

- Three half-day update sessions with a focus on key skills alongside moderation training and workshops in the spring and summer terms. Models of moderation will be explored which can be utilised back in school.
