This course will explore:
• how to support children effectively when developing decoding, fluency and comprehension skills, particularly the lowest 20%;
• top tips for ensuring children are engaged and motivated with reading; and
• practical approaches for delivering one to one sessions.

This course will provide an overview of how to deliver and support one to one reading sessions for early readers and developing readers in primary schools (Y1-Y6) . It is suitable for any adults who support children's reading in school, e.g. teaching assistants, teachers, volunteers.

Participants will receive a download toolkit of practical materials as part of the course.
